In a recent Founder in Five interview, Andrei Danescu, founder and CEO of Dexory, shared his journey in building an autonomous warehouse robotics company that’s redefining supply chain operations.

Originally launched in 2015 as BotsAndUs, Dexory has evolved into a leader in warehouse automation. The company’s AI-powered robots create digital twins of warehouses, providing real-time data and actionable insights to optimise logistics. With headquarters in London and nearly $20m in funding—including a $13m seed round in 2022—Dexory is scaling rapidly, growing from 15 employees two years ago to nearly 50 today.

During the interview, Andrei emphasised the importance of building strong relationships with early customers, offering advice to founders: “Make good friends of your first customers.” He noted that these initial partnerships are crucial in shaping products, gathering feedback, and gaining trust within competitive markets.
