Meet the Team: Devyang, Manufacturing Engineer

Can you briefly introduce yourself and provide an overview of your role within the company?

Hello, I’m Dev, a Manufacturing Engineer at Dexory, and I have been working since December 2022. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and bring a decade of experience working with a range of machinery. I am deeply passionate about machinery and committed to continually broadening my expertise in machine operations and tooling.

In my role, I focus on creating prototype parts using advanced CNC turning and milling machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, engravers, and other specialised equipment. My key responsibility is to ensure that all prototype components meet precise dimensional and functional specifications.

How has the company changed since you started?

Joining the company was a fantastic opportunity for me, especially since I had the chance to work on our first edition of the new robot. At the time, our team was just around 30 people, but it has since grown to about 160. We Have produced numerous robots and continue to expand rapidly. Additionally, the company has embraced cutting-edge technology and equipment, making the experience incredibly dynamic and rewarding.

What are your favourite perks or benefits that you enjoy at Dexory?

One of the perks I particularly enjoy is our team-building events and activities. They offer a great chance to connect with colleagues in a fast-paced work environment, including those from our London office or who work remotely. I find these events to be a fantastic opportunity to get to know everyone better.

If your workspace could be anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?

If I could choose a workspace anywhere in the world, I would pick a location that combines natural beauty with modern amenities possibly near the Himalayan Ranges. The peaceful environment and breathtaking scenery would create an inspiring backdrop, perfect for concentration and creativity. This combination of peace and modernity would create the perfect environment for work and inspiration.
