Meet Oana Jinga, COO and Co-Founder at data-driven robotics company: BotsAndUs

BotsAndUs provides digital twin technology as the only platform powered by autonomous robots delivering data and insights in real-time. By providing companies unprecedented immediate access to their operations, our innovative technology is revolutionising warehouse and large storage area management everywhere.

Without adding unnecessary stress or expense, warehouses and storage areas can be transformed into collaborative, holistic environments with people working alongside robots and artificial intelligence. Our solution is comprehensive and integrated from the receiving and storing processes in warehouses and large business storage areas. In essence, we automate inventory management and storage processes, supporting business decisions, ensuring financial compliance and identification of gaps and inconsistencies as they occur.

Our robots are fully autonomous and with no human effort required for a continuous data stream, the data collection process is more efficient than the expensive and time-consuming manual data gathering.

Using our RaaS (Robot-as-a-Service) business model, we offer full flexibility that does not require a major company investment. We provide a full-stack solution that includes hardware units (robots), software updates, maintenance and support, data and analytics for a monthly subscription fee per robot deployed, enabling scalability of fleets to match peak and low season requirements.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?

We are passionate about automating data collection and insights generation. Our expertise puts us in a unique position to educate and drive robotic automation in the logistic industry and beyond.

Our aim is to enable warehouse staff to focus on key operations, utilising automation to do more of the tedious and repetitive tasks. This is an important factor for the logistics industry which already lacks resources, so attracting and retaining good employees is now the top priority in the warehouse operations.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?

Our solution was initially designed to serve the retail sector front of house, managing inventory on shelf. We were approached by our customers’ operations and logistics teams to conduct similar processes in warehouses. Therefore, we have successfully focused on the logistics industry. Driven by the lack of visibility our customers have over warehouse goods, which affects every step of the supply chain.

The next phase is for global growth, which is now underway through our recent announcement. We have started to recruit relevant experts – in all areas to help us achieve our business goals and grow the team’s ambition to take our AI platform to the next level.

What can we hope to see from BotsAndUs in the future?

We want to really expand the impact and use of our data intelligence platform. There are so many more valuable insights to be gained by using a digital twin of any warehouse space.

Being able to integrate the data with the user’s environment allows non disruptive planning for the future, and predictive analytics to drive better forecasting and decision-making. Historical and forecasted data can be applied to support accurate demand forecasts, smarter inventory location planning, clarification of stock demand values, risk reduction, intelligent optimisation of picking, storage and more.

BotsAndUs goal is to become one of the leading UK’s top tech companies, attracting the best talent in the field and part of a select number of players globally with at scale robots deployed across the world. Our mission is to be the ‘go to’ intelligence provider to break supply chains and transform them into supply networks – connected, efficient and more productive.

The concept of a B2B Metaverse is one of the most exciting trends for the industry, enabling the creation of digital twins, especially of warehouses, with real-time data from the floor. Also, the opportunities that predictive analytics and scenario testing of new processes and concepts will open up endless possibilities for data to fuel the logistics’ technology transformation.
