Our Lead Systems Architect, Guillaume Doisy, joined an esteemed panel to discuss the practical challenges and successes of deploying ROS 2 in production environments. Talk: Mobile robotics scale-up leveraging ROS

In one of the most anticipated sessions, Dexory’s Guillaume Doisy and Marcus Scheunemann shared the story of our transition from a small robotics start-up to deploying nearly 100 autonomous mobile robots in the field. This talk explored the steps we took to build a robust production software stack using the latest version of ROS 2, debunking the myth that sticking with a fixed ROS 1 stack is the only viable path for scaling operations. Guillaume and Marcus also underscored the importance of safeguarding processes, open-source contributions, and best practices that have driven substantial benefits for Dexory and our customers.

Talk: Accelerating the CI/CD-to-robot cycle by 10x for 1/10th the cost

In a session focused on engineering efficiency, Dexory’s Marcus Scheunemann and Ruffin White delivered a compelling case study on how we’ve optimised the CI/CD process for our robotics platform. By leveraging advanced Dockerfile patterns, GitHub Action workflows, and self-hosted runners, we achieved a tenfold increase in deployment speed while cutting costs dramatically. This innovative approach has unified simulation and production environments, enabling faster integration testing and accelerating our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
